Mr. Gulshan Raj

Mr. Gulshan Raj joined Central Water Commission in 1989 as an Assistant Director. In his professional career in CWES, he has worked in various positions in CWC. His area of specialization is hydraulic gates & their operating system and he has more than 20 years’ experience in this field. He has wide experience of project construction; he worked in Tala Hydro Electric Project, Bhutan for 3years and Sardar Sarovar Dam for 2.5 to 3 Years.

Mr. Raj joined DSO, CWC as Chief Engineer in 2017. He has been instrumental in implementing dam safety standards & protocols in country. He has been involved in implementation of ongoing DRIP project and he is currently holding charge of Project Director of DRIP II & III. He is also working as Member Secretary in National Committee on Dam Safety. He is chairman of Supreme Court appointed Supervisory Committee of Mullaperiyar Dam which is an Inter-State project between Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
