Mr. Rama Raju Penmetsa is the acting Advisor and Dam Safety Expert, Govt of AP since the year 2011 till date. His core specialization is Water Resources Engineering. He’s having total of 46 Years of work experience. He passed out in year 1976 from Rashtriya Vidyalaya College of Engineering, Bangalore University, Bangalore, B.E , Civil Engineering. He’s done his PhD in Spatial Information Technology in the year 2005 from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.

Mr. Raju’s work experience is held in following areas - Water resources projects Investigation, Designs, formulation, Construction of water resources projects, Contract administration, Quality assurance in water resources projects, Administered water service in large irrigated commands through vast canal networks, Establishment of Hydrological Information System for the state of AP, IT-Establishment of e-procurement platform for state of AP, River Basin planning and management, trans boundary water allocation, assurance, compliance, inter-state negotiations and agreements, Flood Control, River Conservancy, Dam Safety Evaluation of Water Resources Projects, GIS solutions in water sector, Teaching as Professor, Water Resources Engineering, Guest lecturer to technical schools.
